Really cold where i live in Minnesota is - 10 for the high with a -49 wind chill .Yet i still go ice fishing So what im sayin is 20 is not that cold .Yes im just messin with ya .
I just smoked 5 sevin to eight pound butts .Smoked at 220 -250 derees took between 9 and 10 hrs .Pulled them when they hit 200 degrees internal temp ,then placed in a cooler for 2 hrs .All of them fall apart very easy to pull.
I dont but its nice to have some left over.Put the left over rub in a jar.Or cut the recipie in half .I modify most recipies anyway.Do what works for you.Jeffs rub has a bit to much pepper for my taste so i dont add as much .Its my go to rub.
Some times i use sauce other times i dont its a matter of what i feal like at the time.I t doesnt hide what i make it enhances the flavor.Think about this if you want the meat to stand on its own why do you season it?Same thing only different.I say do what floats your boat.Not sayin just sayin.
