So my last couple burns I cleared out the pellet boss comp blend and did straight bbq delight. Significantly less ash for the two cooks I did. It’s not scientific and they weren’t the same, just what observed from similar cooks.
As you can see most are happy with what they pick which is a great thing for us consumers! I just got a Yoder YS640 a couple weeks back. All the materials are very heavy duty, it will outlast me even if I have to touch up paint. Most of the rust I see is people letting grease run down the...
Did 3 racks of baby backs tonight on the Yoder with cherry. Can’t taste any different from pellet but I picked up a Maple Bacon Bourbon Chipotle rub from cabelas, some kinders brown sugar, and the steakhouse seasoning that came with the Yoder pack because it’s been so good on steaks and...
So everything I’m reading here is if the pit boss comp pellets work for me at 13.50 for a 40 lbs bag but I’m up and I’m most likely not missing anything :)
Thanks all!
as many here have mentioned the smoke profile from the pellet grill is less than charcoal or wood and I am ok with that.
My question is, given those limitations does it even matter what type you use or if any flavor provides the most smoke flavoring? I typically prefer hickory, but haven’t...
I just agonized over the decision as well. Didn’t want to spend what I did...went way over budget with the Yoder YS640. Had it delivered Thursday and did break in, grilled burgers one night, ribs the next, and did brisket today.
The Yoder is extremely solid...from the body to the grates to...
Just got my 640 this week and did burgers one night and ribs last night. Couldn’t be happier...brisket prep this afternoon....hadn’t rained for a couple weeks and as soon as this arrived it hasn’t stopped off and on.
That’s pretty darn nice of them giving they don’t control UPS. Raining here but ribs on, should be don’t in about 2 hours. I don’t foil them....just sprayed a bit of apple and I’ll sauce them up later.
Ok...so did burn in tonight earlier as mentioned. After brief cool down pulled diffuser and added grill grates in. Mixed some PitBoss competition blend with the bbq delight apple that ATBBQ sent with it. I set it to 400 with the grill grates for burgers. As it went to 400 in like 10 minutes...
Funny you say that. Fed Ex freight missed the window so I called and driver had got hurt. They had to have someone go pick up bus load and finish but only a few hours late...
Got it a bit ago and just put together. Doing the burn in as we speak.
Packaging was great, came on its own pallet and everything included as it should have been. Assembly not bad at all...just a few screws and bolts for the legs. One thing to note.....you don’t realize on videos how thick...
I’ve gone through all Facebook media and company forums for both. Rec Tec even told me in an email to look at Amazon reviews as they couldn’t control those....thus admitting they scrub and control their own. To me I saw what I felt were more honest and representative views with Yoder, and they...
I looked at the Yoder website and found some negatives and some replies from Herb. I looked at Rec Tec and found zero negatives on any grill or ANY accessory...all were 5 stars. Having said that I felt Yoder was more likely to be honest based on allowing some not so positive posts...
