Heavy hearted Turkey for the neighbor.

Yeah, our concerns were for those in Minnesota & those tornado's that blew through there.  I rarely if at all, understand the climatic conditions of Earth's weather but our prayers go out to those lost in the carnage & for you to stay safe & out of harm's way.  God bless your heart for helping...

    My first brisket

Personally for me, smoking is the only way to go.  If you have to "Grill" it, do as Cowgirl suggests.  She rocks with anything food related.  If you can avoid grilling it, you won't be dis-appointed in smoking it low & slow.  But you did leave out pertinent details, such as, weight of Brisk...

    Stuffed flounder w/ Qview

The pics were that bad sir.  The flounder looks great.

    First spares with q view

Your ribs look excellent!!  To answer your question about juice & cider, In the United States, apple cider refers to the unprocessed liquid that you get from apples. The apples are washed, cut, and ground into mash before being pressed. The resulting cider usually contains apple pulp and is...

    Apple smoked baby backs (Q-view)

Hello Duke.  Happy Father's day to you.  Since the back ribs are smaller and are less meater than Spares, I would go with the recommendation on Mythmaster with the 2-2-1 method.  Foiling is optional as that constitutes a steaming process to make for a more softer rib.  If you do use foil, like...

    GO CELTICS!!!!

It is called a "Team" sport for a reason.  The spainard showed up, Artest was on semi fire, Zoran put in a cameo appearance & oh yeah......did Fisher hit another clutch 3 pointer??  I think so.  As far a Kobe & his act, DID YOU SEE THE BALL & TWO LITTLE CHAINS AROUND HIS ANKLES??  He will...

    Beautiful Butts - QView Heavy

Those eyelets are a life saver.  My mistake was ordering only one instead of two or three.  I need to put in another order along with picking up an ET-73.  The butts looks great.  That WSM is such a wonderful smoker, don't cha think?  Your son is taking excellent qview.  Good job to him!!

    Father's Day test run QView

Anything Linux / Unix related ROCKS hard!!!  I am a Slacker myself but on to the thread.  I was curious as to why your version of Jeff's rub looked different from mine.  I think you want a more even, heavy coat all over the ribs.  When I did it that way, I had a nice even bark on the...

May Throwdown Entry # 6: Smoked Tuscan Sausage Cannelloni, Smoked Beef Braciole, Smoked Focaccia w/C

Thank you for your kind words.  The smoked sausage was a kicker as we love Cannelloni as well.    That is an understatement.  I may have to take off this month just to recooperate.  Thank you for the comments.
