Looks great! On the wine soaked oak, what up with it, just saturate the oak in it in place of water?

    Baby Backs for Easter

Will do on the pictures. Not sure why I picked the med size. My bad. On the cook I normally do the 3-2-1, but on the ribs I wanted more bark so I tin folded at 155F, removed and placed in the cooler to steam at 170F. Thanks to all for the feed back..

    tank choice ?

My guess it would be 3/16" based on the size and if it is only 1/8", just increase the fire box to ensure you will be able to keep the heat for it. Good find and when you build it please share the pictures with us all.

First smoke with new 120 gallon BBQ. Started at 6 AM with hot charcoal. Brought the BBQ up to 225 and added...

    Back Yard 120 Gal Smoker

Not yet, he did season it to verify the temperature levels and ability to manage it. He said it was perfect. He does plan on a cook this weekend and I will ask him to post it for us. I will pass on your comments too.

    250 Gal Smoker Project

The axle is a 2000 lb with 14" tires. Yes, this is a reverse smoker so I am using only one 4” stack. Because I am adding a cooking rack in the fire box for grilling, I have a stack on it too and will close it off when smoking.

    Back Yard 120 Gal Smoker

A very good friend of mine liked a 120 gal project I built last year and wanted to build himself one similar to it but mount it in the yard and not on a trailer. It came out so good I asked him it I could share it on this site. Ho yes! I am trying to get him to join the team. He does excellent...

    250 Gal Smoker Project

Getting a little more done and hopefully will get it ready for the sand blaster soon. Got the main door cut, and door stop set. A buddy of mine used a car hood spring to assist with opening the the door and I am going to add it to this one later I think. Completed the plates for the reverse...

Finally started my 125 gal build!

Looks good!. This will make you a great smoker. A friend of mine designed a excellent way to make your damper (see below). He uses 10” channel and closes in both end to the radiest od the bottom of the tank. Cut out a 4” X (what ever you need to get your sq inches needed) he welds ½” angle as...

    replacement racks

I would try to order cast iron to fit. I like those the best for me on my gas grll.

I'm having a custom (of my dreams) grill built

Go with a cast iron type burner like shown in the link SmokingOhio said and it will work great. I put one in a old 20gal firebox tank and it does a excellent job maintaining temps in a 250gal smoker I have, and it will out last the tank. Good luck and keep us all post on the build. Show lots of...

Primer from old paint on my build?

It you can I would complete a hard burn inside (get it as hot as you can). the last one I did I trimmed alot of trees and burned all them inside the smoker. Then have it sandblasted and painted. I has a company here in Bradenton that did my 120 gal with fire box and trailer for $120. The...
