First brisket with real time Qview!

Flipped it over and added a little more tub in the areas where I knocked it off. Better lighting on this photo and I started to drool so figured I'd share the feeling128515

First brisket with real time Qview!

Ok, looks I will be smoking fat side up! Any other suggestions? Going to get this show on the road in about 20 min. Giving the smoker a good 2 hours to preheat. It seems like every time I fire this thing it has to rain... And not just a little! Pardon my make-shift rain catcher.

First brisket with real time Qview!

Never smoked a brisket, have been talking about it for few years and figured now was the time. Father-in-law found a nice looking 11lb Prime packer at Costco so I told him to snap it up. I have scored the fat cap down through to the meat, coated with a thin layer of mustard, and rubbed down...

    Making Lox a picture guide.

I gave this a whirl, followed everything to the "T" and not sure where I went wrong. Prepared 5lbs of salmon which I caught about a month ago. There are 2 things that I don't like, and I'm sure it's something I did so hoping someone out there can help me discover the issues. #1 - Its super...

Come Back Every Day to Win! A-MAZE-N Products Thanksgiving Giveaway

If I win the A-MAZE-N-PELLET-SMOKER Contest, I plan to smoke circles around my brother in our smoke-off for Thanksgiving. Then we he finally admits that my existing AMNPS is far superior to his chip pan, I will give him the new AMNPS that I won from this post (fingers crossed).

    Oh no, my saggy grates!

Curious about your solution. Can You elaborate. Im a little confused what you mean. Run the flat bar across the middle front to back...but where would the "T" come in. And how do the dimensions play in? 1/8" 1/4" x 1" come into play. did you mean 1/8 to 1/4 thick by 1" wide?

    Oh no, my saggy grates!

Okay, so one of the most difficult things for me to source throughout my whole smoker build were the grates. I wasn't able to find a good "off the shelf" grate that would fit properly without it costing an arm and a leg...$80+ each. Stainless expanded metal was was to rich for my blood as...

    High Temp Silicone

I ended up finding EMI5005 RTV Food Grade Silicone Sealant Red HiTemp 2.8oz -80F to 500F. This stuff was USDA approved and high temp so fit the bill perfect. I could even order small tubes instead of large. I ordered 2, only used half of the small one so now I have extra i guess:) Can be...
