I was pulling my camper up the mountain road last fall for a drawn hunt on a wma here in Tn, had 3 bounce across the gravel road at about 11:00 am. the memory card in my video gps was bad and I didn't get it caught, my bad for not replacing it. I have 1 mounted that I shot years ago, not sure I...
Looks great, my Austin LX goes from 250-300, 300 is too hot for my smoking, that's closer to hot grilling and hard for me to judge the moisture and tenderness, I run mine as low as it will go for several hours then go to 225-250 depending on weight and time I need it ready. Smaller cuts can be...
Great looking deck, No advice as this marriage is 40+ and breaks my heart reading your story. Good luck on everything, they say things happen for a reason, I say sometimes they don't, most work out. A tall table and chairs would be great out there.
Been running a Austin LX for over 7 years, I have never over smoked anything with it, I run a smoke tube most times, Might as well start in the oven if 2 hours is all the smoke ya like lol. spritzing every 30 minutes or so helps, on a stick burner or other charcoal fired units you really slow...
Granddaughter got me a off branded 1 for Christmas, whenever I use it enough to decide to get a good 1 they won’t ever go back on sale, ps this 1 is sharp, pinky slipped cut the tip off 🤬 I pay attention when I use it now, also bought a cut proof glove 🤣
Looks great, I normally do a couple a year, rest of the time I slice and grill, kettle smoking them is my favorite way, I will eat them any way I can get them 🤣
Wouldn't take me long to get sick of chicken, no goats available but A deer is close enough. I have ate at a few in Knoxville and folks ask what's in the dish with goat in it, most pass it by but it is good. may have to talk the wife into going this weekend, been a couple years since we been.
Your probably looking at 3-4 hours depending on weight, the average weight will be around 3lb ? remember lower temps = more smoke with a pellet smoker. it's ok to have them done and resting, I like fresh cooked over reheated due to moisture lose on the reheat.
I would do a practice run with a couple, my sons PB done really well a few years ago when I smoked 3 briskets, I would only use the top 2 racks and hopefully you have a couple probes to monitor, get them where you need them then into a cooler to hold. that's not really a lot of meat for the...
