Bear , so glad you've re-surfaced, kind of missed you in the Chat. I had to have two stents put in my heart and they did some work on one valve and now the old pumper seems fine. Good luck with Your operations I hope they turn out as well as mine did. My GP doctor put me on nadalol (sp) which...

    MES trouble code help

I have pulled the plug and then waited 10 seconds before re plugging it in. That resets the darn thing sometimes in cold weather. Sometimes works sometimes doesn't. I put 4 wheels on a piece of plywood and set the MES on that, now I wheel it inside the night before using it. Then get it up to...

    membrane? ?

First knife looks like a butter knife, the second like a fishing knife with the scaler on the top. Using paper towels to grip the membrane is the Key, otherwise you're in for a long frustrating messy job. The towel makes it mondo easy to do. A Few folks like me like to leave the membrane on...

    Your Go to Specialty

Ribs, either Pork or Dino. If the Dino's were more readily available I'd probably do them the most. Sadly when I do manage to find Dinos in the store they usually look like the crows got to them first. Sometimes I do score some marbled meaty Dinos and then its lock out that Cat and were...

Burning Churches in East Texas :~(

What tickles me is whether or not they get caught by Texas authorities it won't matter because sooner or later it will all become moot. I know that they will be standing before a much higher court and rumour has it that Saint Peter may be a Texan at heart.

Used my 3 year warranty card at Sams today!

Okay I looked thru my pic and found some old rejected pic of my Original MES Mod Thread that got lost in the great purge of 2009. The really good pictures I had have all been lost in a Photobucket screw up that I had a while back. This shows the smoke daddy pipe crammed into the soup can when...

Used my 3 year warranty card at Sams today!

For cold smoking cheese I used an empty canned milk can that fit horizontially exactly into the MES chip tray hole. I went thru all the cans in the pantry trying them one after another untill I found one that fit exactly. I then drilled a hole the same size of the smoke daddy pipe through the...

Where is the warm air coming from? (thermodynamic kinda question)‏

Have a smaller fan blowing on the body of the bigger fan from a side angle. That Should cool the entire thing down. No mechanics or building need be involved. Even if you did that just for a test to see if it cures your problem. Everyone has a small fan around plus they are cheap to buy.

    Lottery

I live up here in the frozen north. I'd pack up the brand new car, hook on the trailer, then I'd strap some ski's and a snow shovel on the roof rack. I'd point my car south and drive stopping in all the fancy hotels and restaurants along the way. When I reached a place, which to me is yet...

Time to admit it...who did something stupid yesterday?

Thanks for the laugh. Well take it easy on your butt, and if you really cracked your tail bone, believe me I know from experience you will live to regret it. They take forever to heal and years later will give you grief at the most unexpected moments. As for your question; Well it was a...

Parkay on ribs. A blind taste test.

I wonder how it would be if you used butter instead of parkay? I sure prefer butter on almost anything instead of margarine. I noticed that the annoying Woman on the Jonny Trigg rib challenge last night used a whole lot of parkay on her ribs. The the judges hated her ribs because they could...

    Smoked Dog with Qview

If you smoke em low and slow about 3 hours at 210f they become really tender and tasty as all get out. I am usually too impatient and smoke them about 1 1/2 hours. The cobb has a built in water pan and acts just like any other smoker. It takes 5-7 briquettes or an equivilant amount of lump.With...

    BBQ Sauce Recipe

You could use a hot chipolte sauce, franks hot sauce, or any other really hot sauce instead. The thai sauce was the hottest and tastiest I could find.

    Smoked Dog with Qview

Who says you can't smoke Hot Dogs?? I cross cut the dogs then covered with mustard and Jeff's rub. One dog was coated with worchestershire sauce to see if there was a difference in taste. The cross cutting pattern allows the meat to open up during the smoke and allow better penetration of the...
