    To save gas....

An idea to secure the boarder, prevent NO from flooding again, and stop alligator attacks on Florida residents. Dig a moat the length of the mexican boarder. Take the dirt from the moat and shore up around NO. Fill the moat with water and alligators.

    smokin in the cold???

Is this your smoker? As others have said, keep the top vents open. Use your lower for air control over your fire. Missouri weather is not too much different than Kansas (except we have trees to slow the wind down) . I used to have a ECB bullet. On cold days, I put metal shielding around the...

    My first Q-View

I wanted to give q-view a try. I smoked this yesterday (New Year's Eve), the extra meat with the butt came from the upper portion of the ribs. They were KC style originally. I chopped the butt and pieces up for sandwiches (with a little coleslaw between the buns). The weather turned cold and...

    Rib racks....

Thanks Dutch. I will try that next time. Even though I cut the KC's down to STL style, I still had fold over issues. The butt turned out great. I had some problems with the ribs. About an hour before I put them in foil the outside temp dropped about ten degrees (34) and the wind picked up...

    Rib racks....

I have a Brinkman Cimmeron smoker, which is usually plenty big enough for my usual smoking. Today however, we plan on having several friends over for dinner. I'm cooking a large pork butt and 4 slabs of ribs. I'm using a rib rack so I can squeeze it all in there and still get the smoke to...
