    You will need to bypass the internal control relay on the MES. From there, yes. You plug your MES into the Auber. Super easy mod that was just detailed out on a post here last week. Takes about 10 minutes

    If you look close at the board, the blue and white neutral are on the same terminal. Some guys even install a switch so you can have external control (Auber) or the factory MES control. My MES temp was so far off I decided to go Auber and never look back

    I’ve done this exact mod. The only thing you need to do is wire nut the black and red wires that are on the relay. Super simple.

    She's sitting in my garage currently. I just hate the window!! I'm in Florida so I can't let ya have it. TBH, I would let it go super cheap. I've only been smoking for a few months and I have to say I love it. If letting someone else have it and enjoy smoking, I'm good with that.

    Thanks Bear for your input. Yes, I see with the vent on the same side as the heat source that being somewhat inefficient. I wish they made a Gen 2.5 without a window in a 40” unit. I have nothing but good reviews of this unit. It has turned out some pretty good eats.
