    Swift premium baby back ribs

I’ve had them before, and I usually foil that style after 2.5 hours of smoke and cook for two more. I usually grill them off after that over high heat to sear them a bit. They turn out good for me

Operating environment for Auber plug and play PID controllers for electric smokers

Good info, I was curious about a weatherproof box, but have yet to find an appropriately sized one.

    Auber WS-1510H-W first impressions

Yes, the app does it all! I do agree, shorter cook times for sure with the box holding steady.

    Auber WS-1510H-W first impressions

I have given careful consideration of this Auber unit, and while it has some shortcomings, I would still strongly recommend it. After last nights smoke, I ran autotune again this morning and my MES140S is now a 1 degree machine! I am super stoked! Autotune finished at 12:52, it has been rock...

Did I make a good purchase electric smoker??

I have burned 2 amnps trays at the same time in my mailbox mod, for large muscle meats I think it’s incredible. I should clarify, I wouldn’t do that with straight hickory, mesquite, or oak! I use blends of hickory maple cherry or oak maple cherry most often.

Did I make a good purchase electric smoker??

You will enjoy it for sure. Spend the extra 30 bucks on the mailbox mod too, it’s a real game changer

Did I make a good purchase electric smoker??

This is my most recent masterbuilt as well. I don’t intend my opinion to be a deterrent, all of them have some shortcomings at the price point. Since I intended to mod it from the beginning, this may or may not be useful information for you. Out of the box I never used the chiploader, I used an...

Recommendations for a new 40" MES please!

That feature has saved my hide twice when my gfi outlet popped (kids plugged in electric heater on same circuit) Low temp warning to the rescue.

Recommendations for a new 40" MES please!

I wouldn’t encourage this to be blatantly honest, the probes are not accurate enough. I have also read here the Bluetooth is not all that good either. With that said, I currently have an MES 140S with an Auber WiFi pid controller. It works incredibly well and holds temps within 5 degrees...

Sponsored Giveaway for Inkbird 150 feet Bluetooth signal barbecue thermometer IBT-4XS with 4 probes

Cool! Looking to use this on my MES40 with upgraded Auber WIFI pid. The Auber has a few shortcomings, which includes the notification of product temperatures via their app. I would DEFINITELY put this to good use!! Thanks for the opportunity! USA!

    Griddle Purchase

Well I lucked out. I was able to get a mis-drilled heater plate from work that was already Teflon coated and destined for the scrap bin, paid scrap value for the aluminum :emoji_sunglasses: Here’s the easiest plan I came up with, just need to drill and tap 4 holes and mount the cheap aluminum...

    Griddle Purchase

Well it seems to work , but these bacon presses kinda suck. They are marginally heavy enough, but they are too friggin small. Anyone know if there’s a bigger one out there say 14x14? Google didn’t give me much help. I suppose I could make one if needed

    Griddle Purchase

Well it survived the trip from Utah to Missouri, just finished assembly and having a celebratory beer before I leave for dinner :emoji_sunglasses: I’ll have to wash the griddle surface and get it ready for seasoning maybe tomorrow night

    Griddle Purchase

That’s pretty much what I found during my YouTube search. I planned to put canola in a spray bottle and cover the bottom after I wash and dry it. Then put it on, fire it up and begin seasoning the top :emoji_thumbsup:

    Griddle Purchase

Right, but if untreated it will rust for sure. I live in Missouri and we get some ridiculous humidity in the summer. I’m feeling like better safe than sorry so definitely going to do it :emoji_punch:

    Griddle Purchase

That 69.95 link is for the 28” fyi. I ordered the canvas cover and a couple bacon presses as well as 3 nice dexter Russell spatulas. Wife ordered some carbon steel rings for eggs and hash browns, and we picked up a gallon of canola oil yesterday. Looking forward to its arrival As far as...

Thermopro and MES Probes reading low

I always check my probes in ice water first then calibrate off of that reading prior to checking in boiling water.
