Thanks for the reminder to everyone, I appreciate you doing so. I shoveled my neighbours front porch and walk today and put down some "snow melt" crystals. He's older and sure can use the help. Folks, don't forget the elderly that live by themselves. Just knock or call to say hi.

Well, I called my mom whose got some Ukranian background and from Poland in the off-chance she might know. Unfortunately pastrama does not seem to be a meat or food from those countries that she ever recalls or has heard of. I did get her secret family recipe for the head cheese though. Good...

Leg of boer goat smoke & question

If you want to pull it, after it gets a nice color from the grill, your gonna have to bring it up to near 200. I foile mine after about 165 or so and then keep it off the direct heat, or you can finish it in the oven. It pulls real nice and I'm starting to prefer it that way for tacos and burritos.

Leg of boer goat smoke & question

Yeah, I definitely think it's because of the pancita! Oh gawd, if there is anything on this planet that truly gets my gag reflex pumping is the smell of pancita in my nose. It is the only food that has sent me up off the table into the bathroom to throw up. Not the food itself, but that vile...

    Beef Moink Kabob's

Oh wow what a great idea! I'm shaking my head in wonder..I love it! Pepperoni outside a meatball. What a great combo and thanks for sharing...I'm with you on the idea that maybe a rub or spicier sauce might be better with them; pepperoni has an edge to it that won't go with everything.
