    Bismarck Nd's Home Depot closing

Ours is still open but I don't know for how long. The service there is terrible. Stock is low and usually setting in the isles. We have 2 home grown home improvement stores, both Jerry's. They are larger than HD, stock way more items and are always asking you if they can help you. So I...

Great looking ribs. I just did a rack yesterday and I did 4-1-1 and they were perfect as I like them with a little bite as well. The bone comes clean as too. When I did the 3-2-1 the meat was falling off the bone but was still very good...

    GOSM running to Hot?

Here is the mod I did to my GOSM with the needle valve. I get my temps down to 130 now without any problems. Makes good jerky as well as smoked fish... Good luck with your mod... http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/for...210#post111210

    Washington State

God was missing for six days. Eventually, Michael, the archangel, found him, resting on the seventh day. He inquired, 'Where have you been?' God smiled deeply and proudly pointed downwards through the clouds, 'Look, Michael. Look what I've made.' Archangel Michael looked puzzled, and said...

I am interested in cold smoking (cheese)

I just cold smoked 8 lbs. of cheese yesterday in my GOSM... I bought a 1000 watt hot plate and placed in the bottom and run the cord out the door. I put my wood in an aluminum pouch and punched some holes in the top for the smoke to come out. I was able to maintain 75-77º for the entire smoke...

    better thermometer

Stay away from the Weber therms. I think they are made by Oregon Scientific. I have 2 of them and they are junk. Replaced both of them once and they work for a while then quit. I replaced them with 3 Charmglow's I got at Home Depot and I love them. I have had one of them for about 6 months now...

    So, who does the dishes?

I do all the prep and cleanup when I smoke. We share cooking duties depending on what we are having. I always cook breakfast and we do our own lunches most of the time. We share non-smoked dinners depending on what's for dinner. We both have our favorite dishes and always talk about "what's...
