no smoking. weather looks terrible for Sunday. we're doing a appitizer plate thing. everyone brings their favorite snack. done this before and really get a snack food education.
no pic cause i left it at the camp, but my neighbor made me an apron out of an old pair of carhart overalls. i really like it and doesn't look like it's too hard to do. she split the legs and sewed the inside seam together, then cut the back section off and hemmed it.
my oldest daughter is the same way, has been all her life(she's 44 now). we never let it bother us too much, just let her get a pizza or something, we just kept on cookin!
It's a shame, i built her husband a really nice smoker/pit and it hardly gets used, might have repo the thing!
anyone have any experience with the vertical band saw/meat grinder apparatus ,the price is seductive. would really like to cut some steaks and chops. already have a good grinder, but who can't use a 2nd!
i had to put my old lab down a couple years ago. since then my wife's Yorkie has become my shadow.
not a real manly animal, but she's right there when i turn around.
we regularly eat deer ribs, but with a little less prep. we cut them into threes, then cut the threes into two or three sections. then rub with oil, then salt and pepper and grill em till you like em. makes a great snack while waiting on dinner at the camp. there's never any left.
i've been retired from the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers for 10 yrs. had 27 yrs in the boilermakers and 9 yrs in the commercial diving field before that. i ran a hot shot business for 9 yrs after retirement, and now have a small welding and fabrication shop. guess i'll keep doing...
thanks folks, was telling a friend about this place and he's been a member for about a year. had to ask him if he was holding out on me. we've really been giving the oysters a ride for the last 3 weeks, they're really good right now if you shuck em yourself. the already shucked ones are washed...
