    New Smoker!

Welcome back Curt! Hope all goes well in May. I don't know nothing about electrics except the Brinkmann Gourmet. It works well as long as the wind isn't a factor.

Pork butt / with mustard rub recipe

If you are talking about a recipe from this site, then I believe you are looking for Meowey's Basic Pulled Pork. Try that in the search box. If that doesn't work, go to the Pork section of the forum and see if it is a sticky. It might be there at the top.

    Need some help w/ chicken....PLEASE!

While the bird is smoking low and slow, run out to a store and find yourself one of those Ronco Showtime Rotisserie units (or a George Foreman rotisserie) and when the bird hits 165 internal, move it from the smoker to the spit and let it sit n' spin for about 20 minutes. Best skin and a...

    Anyone got Con'bread?

While it isn't a "corn bread" recipe, this is really good and has lots of corn in it! 1 package Jiffy corn muffin mix 1 can of cream corn 1 can of regular corn (drained) 8 oz sour cream 1 egg 1 stick of butter 1/3 cup of milk combine all ingredients in a large bowl and add to a greased 9 x 13...

    pan for brisket

I would doubt it would make a difference. I would avoid earthware type of vessels, but chrome, stainless, aluminum, should be fine.

I have never brined pork before, but mine already comes cut up and vaccum sealed. Is pork as naturally salty as the stuff in the store?

Mine is outfitted to suspend the probe just under the top grate. I rarely smoke on the bottom grate so I haven't worried about that one yet.

    question about bradleys

I am not a bradley owner, but my VP is. He smokes up terrific stuff with his for company gatherings and such. He has mentioned that when he is smoking for a long time, he will use his bradley since a puckload will last well throughout the night without him babysitting it. He has also smoked...

    Pork Butt vs. Brisket?

Search the beef section for Smokie Okie's seared brisket method. My first brisket kicked me square in the teeth, so practice on a couple before you jump in with a puffy chest again! But if you sear it, you'll win big!

Which to buy, Masterbuilt Electric or Bradley Digital Electric 4 Rack?

The only advantage of the Bradley that I know of is that you can load up the puck shoot and it will push new pucks in place for hours and hours, as opposed to opening your door to throw more wood into the MES. The bradley will also do a true cold smoke with no heat whatsoever in the main...

    Can you name this smoker?

I have seen smokers on eBay from a company called Texas Smokers. That sure looks like their logo. I can't imagine that what you have isn't a custom build though.
