Thanks gents!! Much appreciated.
I'm starting to get that fear too. My solution is going to be some cooks that use both! One of my next ones when I have a long Saturday available is going to be carnitas tacos. Planning on braising a pork shoulder in the smoker then finishing up on the...
Threw some of these together for dinner last night and we liked them so much I did another round tonight.
Chicken thighs cut into small pieces, seasoned to taste (I used some fajita seasoning). Onto the griddle, then chopped into smaller pieces with the griddle scraper when mostly cooked...
Keeping up on using the new Blackstone this weekend. This time a diner breakfast of buttermilk pancakes, bacon, and eggs.
My wife made the batter from scratch. These really turned out good. Thanks for looking.
I think this should be revised to "bad" beer sales are falling. Sorry, not every craft brewer produces a good and high quality product.
The ones closing around me (or looking like they're about to close based on how many people are there) produce a beer that is "meh" and there's something...
Thank you sir! That's a good idea. I doubled up a couple of tortillas because every now and then one would rip or break a bit...what a good idea to toss a bit of cheese in as well!
Thanks! I appreciate it. I've only cooked on it last weekend and really enjoying it so far.
I'm over in FL so we pay attention around this time of year too. I like Levi's videos at Tropical Tidbits. You get the deep analytics that make up the forecast without any sensationalism.
His video from today talks a lot about the wind shear on approach. Might be worth a watch.
Stay safe...
The one I've picked up has a hood, shelves, and front that are all stainless steel, seems pretty well built to me.
The lower BTU is correct but this is not because it's a Walmart-specific SKU. The "omnivore" griddle plates require lower BTU to maintain heat due to a better thermal design and...
Thanks Chop! We were surprised how much we liked it, and it was just basic old El Paso taco mix with beef - nothing special. Going to up the taco game soon and really get it going. Both Mexican street tacos and carnitas are on the list soon.
Thanks all, appreciate the kind words!
Yeah for sure! Remove obstacles to cooking! I have seen elsewhere (reddit etc...) that people use cheap tool carts from somewhere like harbour freight. I'd bet you could get a cart on wheels together for a pretty reasonable price.
Check out Walmart - they're on clearance here (Orlando)...
Rather than inundate you all with a bunch of posts I figured I’d roll everything from this weekend into one. Really enjoying the Blackstone so far, so much so that zero meals were cooked indoors this weekend. Everything turned out really good.
Friday night was smash burgers, which I already...
I’ve never been in this one. Another forum I moderated years ago had a chat feature that was fairly active for a brief time. We organized a specific time and posted as a “focused chat night” kind of thing. It eventually died out and became the same few folks every week.
A lot of people are...
