Anyone in the Ft. Worth area?

All the regulars are a good bunch, but you never know who may float in from the web. I'd edit out the phone # if I were you. In the future you can send it privately through a personal message. Sorry to butt in, just trying to be helpful. Hope it works out for you Dawn.

This And Joke And A Rant

I'm not one of those that believes in suing for any little reason. But taking your story at face value, I'd talk to a lawyer, and quickly. Last time I was between jobs, cobra was a killer. Blue cross was affordable, although the coverage wasn't as good as the cobra policy I was under. Good luck.

    Question on quantities and timing

I pull the Pork into a large mixing bowl, then I mix my sauce into it. A lot of folks here serve the meat plain with the sauce (or choice of sauces) on the side. Relax, it's going to be great. By the way, Until the other day, I always wrapped the butt in foil at 160* and took it to 205. Last...

What is your regular off beat sandwich?

Was wondering if that would come up. "Oma" (my grandmother) turned me onto them. Although I probably haven't had one in 20 years now.....

What is your regular off beat sandwich?

Tuna salad heavy on the Mayo. After you spread it on bread, cover it thick with Potato chips, then mash the second bread down on the chips hard to crunch 'em.

    Grillin On The ECB...

That's what I do. Brinkman calls it a "Waist high grill" if set like that. You can also just set the outer pan, with the coal pan inside it by itself on a picnic table. It makes a decent portable grill that way. I've been meaning to try and make Memphis ribs with it. Leave the coal buring on...

    Maverick Et-73 on the fritz

While the Mavericks seem to be the best around (??) They really are built cheap. My et7 does the same thing. I don't even bother with the thing about half the time. It's just a toy.

    Lighting Charcoal with Isopropyl Alcohol?

It's not safe to ingest. And since I don't know if all the alcohol really burns off, I'm not going to try it. OTOH, could it be any worse than lighter fluid? I don't know.

    Rotisserie Question

I haven't done one, but found a pic on photobucket which may help. Your drippings should not be going into the fire. You're supposed to Rotiss using indirect. In restuarants when then roast on a spit, the heat comes in from the rear of the meat only. On my kettle, I have a hard time getting...

Blake Shelton takes on PETA in Twitter showdown

From here it only looks like a battle between morons. I have issues with PETA, but Sheltons' remarks are such that he makes those who believe in humane harvesting of animals to appear childish and combative. I wish he would have kept his mouth shut. PETA always looks silly, now the other side...

Haven't smoked chops yet. I usually brine them, the grill on my Weber. Think I'll try smoking them next time.

    Brand new ECB!

If no one takes it, it can be donated at your local National guard armory. According to Le, they will send it overseas for the troops to use. That's what he does with all those UDS' he builds.
