    Well to start off he is gonna need a thermometer so he know when the meat is done. I would suggest a Maverick ET-73 dual probe thermometer- 1 probe for smoker temp and the other for the internal meat temp. Have fun smoking!! And don't forget, there are plenty of good people here to help you...

    Cleaning your cooking grill?

    A friend show me a trick he uses to clean his grates from the grill..... He uses heavy duty oven cleaner to spray the grates and then puts them in a black trash bag and sets them in the sun for a while. Take 'em out and stuff comes right off!

    I have a 30" mes black on order and waiting for it to arrive and I am trying to prepare myself so I can jump into it when it gets here. The only ways to do it I guess is 1- through the door OR 2- through the vent. Right?

    Hello all, I have been reading all these post in here for about 2 months now & my MES is on its way and I can't wait to get started!! I feel like I am a pro already with all I have learned from everyone here. I have my ET-73, wood, etc all ready to go!!! Just wish the MES came already...
