    How's the Weather

    8 degrees here in East Ohio as I type. Supposed to get to about 2. Smoked a couple ckickens and some ABTs yesterday...had to move into the garage to get temps up. I'll never do that again. Even with the door cracked and both windows open it still got too smoky.

    I've been thinking of different things to smoke (I've got the fever) and was wondering about chicken wings. Is it possible, and would they be any good?

    How did you come up with your screen name?

    I have 6 children. Before the last 2 were born (ages 2 and 4) my screen name was part of each of their names. Dallas, Morgan, Logan, and Mattison. I have just always used it since. I guess now my name should be dalmorlosoniey (Kylie and Bailey).

    I would foil some chips on the end burner on a low setting and put the ABTs on the other end. Gotta be the closest thing to smoking as you can get.

    I would definately go with a seperate firebox. That's a lot of room to reheat every time you open those doors. Just my .02

    Quick butt question

    Started a 10 lb. butt at noon. It's now 5:00 and internal temp is already at 130. I was expecting a 12-15 hr smoke, but at this rate it will be done much sooner. Smoker temp has been around 225 the whole time. What gives?

    Do you turn the butts during the smoke or leave them on one side the whole time? Mine has a consistant layer of fat on one side. Should I keep this side down?

    Awsome pics! I got a butt and a fatty "on the smoke" as we speak. 1st time for both. Fatty is JD mild with peppers, onions, mushrooms and cheddar. I hope my butt looks as good as yours lol.

    Did Dutch's loin last weekend. I don't remember the weight , but it took about 7 hrs to get to 160. Hope that helps.

    Pork loin roast question

    Just did the mahogany loin last weekend and it turned out great. I pulled it from smoker at 165 and tented in foil for 20 min. Very good!
