I figured out how to change it to Fahrenheit. When it wants you to put all zeros for the unlock code put in 1000 instead. That should bring you to where you can change it.
I would really try to remove the tub just to make sure nothing else flammable under it. I thought mine was good but after start up I had something burning underneath. Once you have it apart go with new insulation.
No. you will take the top out first then the middle comes out and then the bottom. If you have to use a chisel to break the heads off the screws or grind the heads off.
Thought insulation and everything was good. When I fired up the burner it started smoking. I thought the smoke was the paint burning but it turned out to be more. I guess it pays to tear them all apart right away. That was smoldering like that overnight.
I'm working on one close to that. I got rid of the plastic parts. Take the metal completely out of it. I thought mine was ok but when I fired up the burner there was some stuff under the metal that started smoldering. By roxul insulation to replace what's in there.
I finally got my Pid controller hooked up. It's a Rex C100. Anyone have one that knows how to use it. I can't get it to change Fahrenheit. Also after I started it I had smoke from the paint burning off the inside. Is this normal for the first start up ? Do I just let it go until its done smoking.
So I haven't had time to work on my smoker lately but I got it wired today. I wired my plug for my smoker inside my garage. All I want to know now is do I need to hook my plug to a gfi breaker or can I hook it up to a regular breaker seeing the plug is inside ? Thanks
