    They will dry some, I wet mine with a mix of orange & apple juice, brown sugar and honey. Mopped it about every 90 minutes.

    Never thought of doing a ham with that sorta rub. Did it give a BBQ flavor? It looks similar to some I put on butts. And did u have to baste it with any liquid during the cook? Smell Smoke

    Yeah the HoneyBaked hams are around $8 lb. My wife said after tasting this one "we'll not be buying from them anymore".

    Thanks. The ham was $22, wasn't to bad a deal. The other $ was ingredients I will use on other smokes aswell. But I am going to pick up one of those real cheap ones this week when they get marked down and try the ham that was on Thursdays email for sammiches. Smell Smoke

    Came out so good. Started with a cheap precooked ham. Coated with a combination of orange juice, apple juice, brown sugar and honey. Then added the rub: raw sugar, brown sugar, but meg, ginger and cinnamon. Used as apple wood at 275 for 3 hours. Spent $29 for a ham that taste like those $70 hams.

    Picked up 2 racks last night for $1.89 lb. Put salt, garlic and onion powder on and let set for about 30 minutes while getting smoker ready. Rubbed down with mustard then BBQ rub. Smoked at 235 with hickory for 2 hours. Baised every 30 minutes with 1 part apple juice, water and cedar vinegar...
