I'm in the same boat as you. I normally look for Johnsonville simply because the quality is consistent. I'm sure there are lesser known brands that are as good if not better. Just my $.02.
No experience but I would give it a try. I'm sure it will work just fine and give good smoke flavor. But, I suspect you will be paying a premium for the fancy packaging/marketing. I'm really curious what's actually in the 8 lb. package.
Very good write up, Hannah. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. I know for sure that it will help others get good results from their next, or first, brisket. I may not agree with everything but I certainly realize the value in what you have written. Again, thank you.
Yeah, this carbine came with the original paper work (less sales receipt)
and two boxes of ammo, (100 rounds minus 15) that were purchased with the firear.
I'm certain that it has had one magazine run through it and then stored in the closet for the last 47 years.
How about a bump for a year old thread.
I didn't want to buy this, I really didn't.
But, a church friend inherited it from his deceased father-in-law and his wife didn't want it in the house,:emoji_zipper_mouth:. So I shot him a price of 200 bucks sight unseen.
M1 Carbine, Caliber 30 carbine...
Yep, I shy away from that number, always have. I would select another package also. But, anyway, great looking steaks on the grill, Ray! What did you slather them with?
Yes, I think so.
Here at SMF we have so many experts on so many other cooking topics why not have a thread on 'Tips and Tricks for Plating and Photographing'?
