    Smoked tri-tip sandwiches

Smoked a USDA Choice tri-tipthis afternoon. The rub is brown sugar, SPG, cayenne, & a touch of Chipotle Chile powder & all spice. Seared it over my pecan fire then smoked it at 235 , pulled it at 140, and let it rest 10 minutes while I grilled peppers & onions. Cut thin with an electric knife...

Help I have been challenged! This is a tough one

Take an A Maze N pellet smoker with you and smoke a tri-tip. It's surprising how many people have never tried it, & it's always a success when I introduce someone to it. It wouldn't take much space or time.

    New AMNPS... where to start?

My wife got me the 5x8 AMNPS for Christmas, & I'm trying to figure out what I want to try first. It came with a small bag of oak pellets, & I have a large offset smoker, grill & gas grill combo. I was thinking of cold smoking some cheese while I'm still on vacation & temps are appropriate in...

    Should I cover my smoker?

Glad to know I'm on the right track. What else can be done to help keep a smoker from rusting? I don't want to have to eradicate rust & repaint in a few years..

Tatonka Dust Rib Steak w/smoked butter

How heavy do you go on the Tatonka Dust? My wife got me an AMNPS for Christmas, and a sample of the dust came along for the ride. I'm thinking of using it on some New York Strips tomorrow night but don't want to over season.

Will this site ever go to tapatalk?

I've used Tapatalk on this forum for several months, but it recently stopped working on my Samsung Galaxy S3. It stopped working before an update to Android 4.3 and still doesn't work after. It works fine on my Asus Transformer Pad Infinity running Android 4.2.

    Should I cover my smoker?

Last night I oiled the outside of my smoker & got the fire hot to cure it in hopes of protecting it from water. Since I went to bed with the smoker hot I didn't cover it, & it has been drizzling outside all day. The smoker has a little water on it, & the cover is damp. My last smoker got really...

ADVICE: Need a new grill - Weber vs. Char-Griller

@luv2qandgrill: What part of Texas are you in? I'm up north in Frisco & get them at Matador Meat & Wine in Plano. I think they're Certified Angus.
