I understand. Appreciate your input but there was a time when you could buy a steel mailbox without the galvanized coating. I'm beginning to think that they no longer are made without the coating.

I am comfortable using a mailbox because I have built one in the past and worked out all the flow problems, so I know exactly how to make it for ultimate air flow.

There is no problem making a full recipe. The mixture freezes very well. . .I just put what's left in 1 quart deli containers and freeze for future use. Just as good after thawing and re-heating.

I joined facebook to check out the Marketplace as @chopsaw suggested. . . I found one but had to drive 40 miles to pick it up. Was worth it because it is brand new and never used. . . Unfortunately it is a 30" ( Model # MB20071117 ) but I can live with that. Paid $175 . . .

Yep, When the cabbage cooks down the mixture can become a soup consistency. Just take the cover off and continue simmering until the mixture thickens.
