What I wouldn’t give for a touch of fall. Still 104 here today :emoji_disappointed:
That didn’t stop me from smoking a pork butt though. Just probed nice and tender at 201. It’s just about time for the long rest.
Enjoy your cooler weather.

Wonderful job. I plan on smoking a pork butt for Labor Day as well. I’ll be smoking mine on Sunday. The only thing I see missing from your amazing sandwiches would be some coleslaw. Enjoy the delicious fruits of your labor.

It's crazy how a "good wage" here in California barely gets you by. If I were making the same amount and living in a place like Ohio or Tennessee, I wouldn't ever be concerned about the price of meat. As it is, I am always trying to stretch every penny. The thing is, I don't think I could live...
Congrats on the successful first run motsyball. It still might be worth considering that replacement controller that was linked earlier to add some fine tuning but you can never argue with success.

Patience is the secret ingredient to next level pulled pork. The guys have already let you in on the fact that it needs to be probe tender. That's basically the same way it would feel if you were sliding your probe into a stick of warm butter. It should feel pretty much the same. Once it feels...
California has a crap load of vehicles due to the population. That's why we get soaked a the pumps. It's just because they can. No choice since you can't use mass transit with any reasonable cost or efficient use of your time.

Gasoline is more like $4 a gallon on average here in So Cal. Has been for a very long time. I get my gas at Sam's for a "low" $3.89 a gallon right now.

Seriously Chris? You are killing me here. I'm way over of the West coast. Why you gotta do me like that? I want about 10 of those Reubens. Looks so good. Two big thumbs up for you sir.

Dang for the reduced price I would have bought every rack they had. St Louis are the best of both worlds but I admit I love my rib tips from spareribs.

What an awesome gift. I have to say I would go with Cutplug's suggestion and install the digital controller for much better performance. That should be a fun addition to your arsenal. Good luck with that gem.

Looks better than most pizzas from a restaurant. Super job sir. I may not be a fan of all of your toppings but I'd be willing to try that just because it looks perfectly cooked.

I've decided to give at least the pineapple a go. I may try the peaches as well but definitely the pineapple. Seems to be a perfect compliment to the throwdown theme.

I did a search for grilled pineapple and or peaches. Not too much that I'm seeing here about techniques. I am interested in trying to grill these two fruits. Can anybody give me some suggestions about preparation and grilling methods? I will be grilling then on my Weber kettle. Thanks in advance...
