DO got a little chuckle out of your story. Reminded me of the time a women did the same to me (no puking though) half way through a deer BBQ sandwich (not burger) she was enjoying. If you don’t have the equipment

Saw this offer at the local Food Processing shop. It’s a Amish shop that reconditions butchering equipment. They do sell new Vacmaster sealers & bags. Thought this to be a interesting offer.

    Stocking up on cabbage

Sure! Don’t see why not. That’s the reason we started freezing it. When that old timer told me about it I almost told him he was full of crap because he is at times. Just his way of messing with ya but you got to listen to them because they do have knowledge from long ago.

    Stocking up on cabbage

Yup! Just chop & bag. Make sure to get as much air out of bag as possible to keep from freezer burning. 3# fills a gallon ziplock full. With the way cabbage goes together when cooked 3# is about perfect for 2 for a meal. If you try it let me know your thoughts.

    Stocking up on cabbage

Holds up in freezer great. Never kept track of how long but know we have it for many months maybe up to a year. The trick to it is not to let it thaw out. Will get slimy. Take it while frozen an add to whatever your making while it's hot. Like a boiling pot of soup or a hot skillet for fried...

    Smoked Chili

Bangin looking batch of chili. Like the idea of smoking things up before making. Biscuits look great to. I'd tear up a bowl or 2 of that.

    Kingsford wood pellets

Not to high jack thread but has anybody used the Kingsford infused pellets? Do they actually add the seasoning flavor they say they are? The garlic, onion, paprika really perked my interest. Sounds like something good for beef & pork if they work. Thanks in advance

    Bear Mountain pellets

Sorry for response delay but have been working. At work (run a book binder) now but waiting on press. This paper shortage is starting to hit us hard. Suppose to be that way until June but with things being the way they are today might last a lot longer. Now back to topic. Just checked at HD &...

The whole idea of being scanned when put in cart & being payed for when u hit the door sounds great. Much better than me putting in cart then taking out of cart to scan & bag. Next giving money to machine & getting change back. Seems everybody is going self check out & I don’t like it when I...
