Eastwood is where I got mine. When I tripped over the subway boxes my buddy got one. He converted his to propane, he used a heating unit from what you might put on the drift boat(no real flame) kept contaminates out and worked mine was electric did not wrk as easy as his (for temp control)

looks cool. Have you ever thought about powder coating at home? it is a pretty ieexpensive process. we have done it for years at the Medford House. the main unit is about $125.00 plus your powder (keeps well) and just an old oven from a kitchen tear out will get you started.

I think many have had this issue a time or two what i did just to be safe was to toss in the oven on low and bumped every hour 10 degrees to 170 (just like you do with the smoker) i then ran the sticks to 155 and pulled them FYI there was a little fat out in some so they were a touch dry IMO...
With the Mes #30 , Mes #40 and a propane smoker you add in a smoke generator and the mail box mod you have complete versatility for any smoke almost any time of year. However any one of mine will do everything my others do I just have to work with them differently
