I acquired a piece of a propane tank. It is just a piece of pipe now. The ends had been cut off to build fire pits. My question is would it be safe to just use the ground for the bottom of a uds?

I see you are enjoying the fruits of our Commissioner of Agriculture's work. He has pushed for more locally sourced meat and it is paying off. I am looking for a source close to me in south central MD.
Here in MS our Commissioner of Agriculture is really working to help more meat producers that raise, and produce their beef and pork to sell here in their home state. It is working too.
The Bridgeford steakhouse roll you probably using. It is fantastic however it not sold on retailas fas as I know. If you have a friend that runs a restaurant ask him or her to find out from the distributor if they carry Bridgeford and het them to order a case for you.
