No smoking for me this weekend. After 2 smokes in the past 2 weeks, I am taking a break for a week.
Going out Saturday with another couple for some steaks and booze at Flemings since racing is on Sunday.
Chili and nachos for the 500 on Sunday and nursing my beef/alcohol hangover.
Screw all this fattie talk...lets focus on the whiskey.
What kind of whiskey do you prefer when you smoke fatties? Whiskey has usually lead me to not only forget that food was in the oven, but also where my house was, how to drive, and the fact that I am married.
I love whiskey...
I am going with spares, buffalo wings, boston baked beans (best beans in the world!), and maybe some jambalaya. My buddy is making the pulled pork.
There will be some extra smoking for the Shootout on Saturday night, but that is TBD. Lets not forget the NASCAR season is starting people...
Saints all the way, but only by a matter of elimination.
-As a Patriots man, I cannot by rule root for the Jets and that loud mouth Rex Ryan.
-I cannot stand Brett Favre, and therefore cannot root for the Vikings.
-The Colts do not bother me so much as up until this season, the Pats have...
I seem to have no problems with my GOSM. I usually fill with 4 or 5 good size chunks and then fill in the rest with some chips, and it lasts a good 4 or 5 hours or so before they have turned into coal and need a refill.

Good luck

Not much good bbq around here, so I decided a few years ago to just make my own, and its been the best decision I have made since letting Bernie handle all my money. Oh wait...that didn't work out so well...
I am sure there...
As a former McDonalds employee, the arrival of the McRib was always brought with praise and joy from customers. Many a weekend afternoon was spent with me stuffing long rolls with a pork type product simmering in some sauce topped off with pickles and onion. It was probably one of the most...
I make them every time I smoke. I have modified them with a little more jalapenos & pineapple and a diced up keilbasa. If I am making spares, I throw the skirt and trimmings in there as well after smoking them.
They are always a huge hit. Made some for the smokeoff on Sunday and they were well...
So my heart is still ticking, and much to my dismay, no one suffered a coronary issue. I was hoping someone would have a clogged artery at least, so then we would have a definate winner. It ended up being called a draw as there was very little left from both sides of the match.
I dropped the...
15 hours later, and things are wrapping up, literally. I am about to go wrap everything in foil and throw in a cooler for transport to the location of the throwdown. There will be in depth photos later once everything is cut into, stuff in faces and are all cheering in my direction as I hoist...
