My first turkey tale Q view

Its a good looking turkey!! Fear not the size of the turkey, if you can cook it in an oven you can cook it in a smoker.

    Opinion on Pitmasters?

My two cents. I love BBQ, if I was going to produce a BBQ show it would be very different than this show. However, it is the only BBQ show that I know of and I will keep watching it, if for no other reason than just to support the ratings of a show about BBQ so that maybe oneday in the future...

    Question on Country Style Ribs

I didn't know CSR's came from the shoulder. If that is the case i could just buy a small butt for 6 or 7 bucks and cut up my own CSR's, no? I like cooking CSR's be cause they are cheap and easy but always good. I just cook at 240* and follow the 2-2-1 method. They are always falling apart...

    Brisket this Christmas Eve

I always smoke my briskets to an internal temp of at least 195. An internal temp of 180 probably won't be the most tender and savory brisket. getting an 11 pounder to and internal of 195 may take some time, even cut in half. be prepared for 11-15 hours. I have a 14 pounder smokin away as we...

Dang Mballi3011, your like the Newbie police I have noticed. No one gets past you without introducing themselves. Thats good though, at least someone is making sure that were all friends and not strangers .

    Pitmasters Episode 3 is starting

The cupcake pan has got to hinder some of the good smokey BBQ flavor from getting into the chicken doesn't it...? Thats probably why Myron isn't winning much in chicken. I enjoy the show...its fun.

    ECB charcoal to propane conversion

This worked great with the ECB because both halves are made by brinkman. I really hope you all's char-grill water smoker works too. I am sure you can force it . Please post some pics here if you get'em together. I am still really excited about this. It was such a simple mod yet SO AMAZING. I...

    ECB charcoal to propane conversion

My only question now is should i add lava rocks to the fire box. I figure I could throw the wood chips on the lava rocks. Or is that just unneccesary?

    ECB charcoal to propane conversion

I saw a post the other day that I thought was great. The post was asking about using a propane cooker as the heat source for an ECB. I did an experiment and here are the results. Here is my El cheapo... Old faithful The only mods are the holes in the firepan... This is my brinkman propane...
