    We are having a birthday party today so we decided on some pulled pork. We planed on 10-12 people so I picked up one about 8 pounds. I get home from work and find out we now had 20 people coming over...must of heard I was smoking pulled pork :) So I picked up another 8.5 butt.

    Do you clean the glass on your smoker door (if it has glass)

    Just clean my glass on the MES 40...soapy water from a spray bottle and a razor blade. Quick and easy...scraped of in nice strips. The soapy water spray acted as a good lube for the glass and razor blade.  Now I will get to see the smoke and a juicy pork butt I will be smoking Friday night...

    MES 30" Cover Badly Made

    Great post that discusses the same shortcomings of the MES cover...as I have the same issues as the OP. So far I have used the trash bag idea under my cover with success, but I also really like the water proofing spray idea. Once I get a day off from work I think I may try some shoe spray on...

    Yes..those are dog snacks. I leave the fatty parts up top in a tray with holes to drip juice and fat down on the meat...it semi works well.

    Needed some healthy eats for work this week, so decided to smoke a chuckie, based off how well the last one turned out. Started with a 3lb Choice Chuckie Salt, pepper, garlic, woshie sauce Sat over night. 0830: On the smoker at 240 (hickory) 1200: Sitting at 140 IT...my last one stalled about...
