My first attempt at bb ribs fell way short of what I wanted --- but the second attempt came out with great results as there was none left and my dad licked the plate a bit that the ribs were on.
Ok 2 racks from BJ's wholesalers and I forgot the brand -- but they were meaty and the silverskin...
Why would there be absolutely no bark on them?
I look at the ribs here and by the time you would foil them they have this beautiful bark on them.
Al I have to agree about temp - should have left them in longer
But I'm still wondering about BARK

Ok so the taste was pretty good although there was NO bark whatsoever. I really don't know why but I think I didn't put enough rub on the ribs. There was a good smoke ring but I think it could have been more (?) I did the 3-2-1 and still...

I'm going to be smokingg up my rec Tec tomorrow and I'm going to go by this
- already did the initial burn then a fatty bacon smoke
So tomorrow will be my first REAL smoke - wish me luck and my qview will come when I figure how
I got the cover also - not sure what to do so I called the guys at rec Tec and they say s long as its covered and you use the smoker that it won't be a problem --- also to use premium pellets and not crap

Question -- since this smoker comes with a 40lb hopper do you or would you leave the pellets in the hopper between cooks...
