    removing the finish from a factory weber lid

    Will sand blasting remove it. Cause my grinders, and sanders only polish it :)

    It is a bolt on. So where the factory weber vent was i took it off and will weld a 4" take off pipe to attach it too. I had to do it this way since I am sandblasting and powder coating everything.

    Looks like surface rust to me. If your unsure or hesitant. Get it sandblasted :)

    9141k924 is their sku.  and i used a high temp food grade silicone to adhere it.  duct taped them down and sealed the door for 24 hours.  1 year later no leaks no pulling apart anywhere.  very happy with it.
