    Maverick ET-735 Issues

I did a 17 hour smoke last night and the Maverick 735 work flawless during the entire smoke.  I am quite happy with it.  Plus I like that I can also easily change devices monitoring the temp midway through the smoke. After having it on for 17 hours I was a little worried about battery life...

    Maverick ET-735 Issues

Used the 735 for the first time today with solid results.  Cook some chicken breasts and stuck a probe in one.

    Maverick ET-735 Issues

I just bought one myself.  I haven't smoked with it yet, but so far it paired with my iPhone quite easily.  It seemed the range worked well with my smoker on my back deck.  If I go to the very front of the house I can get it to drop out. I came from an iGrill 1.  Once it connected it seemed to...

If you could get any sub $1000 electric, what would you get?

I bought my Cookshack 025 from the Charcoal store. I registered it through Cookshack.com. I haven't needed any warranty service, but going through the Charcoal store worked well for me in terms of acquiring the unit.

    New smoker table

I have been quite happy with it. Pretty difficult to turn out something bad it seems. My only complaint was having to get down on my knees to work it and dripping juices on my new deck. Both of those should be fixed now. I hope to get some new stainless grates and maybe a few other things...

    New smoker table

After looking at the picture, I think it would be good to swap the grill and the table. That would provide me usable workspace for both cookers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New smoker table

Sarge, I didn't think about wheels. Not a bad idea. It does move pretty easily as well so I might ok for cleaning. It is about 34" tall. You could easily cut the legs down if you wanted it lower. I got it from the link below. I looked at the Cookshack cart, but feel I got a lot more work...

    New smoker table

With the smoker being so low to the ground, I got an early Christmas present today. I got it put together an bolted the smoker down. It has plenty of room in the front so juices won't leak in the deck. Also a nice work surface to the side of the smoker. It is a little tall, but the smoker is...

    Pork butt or shoulder

I saw this at the grocery store today. I haven't seen a piece of meat labeled as both a butt and shoulder before. Please help me understand what it is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Electric Smoker - Different meats challenge

I have always measured, but I have found that it is very easy to overstock meats with this thing.  I found that out on my first chicken.  Even with my Thanksgiving turkey I think I would like to use less wood next time.  2 oz.

Electric Smoker - Different meats challenge

I have a Cookshack 025.  I am not so concerned with the space for the meats, but how to get the correct level of smoke. My typical process is to use about 4 oz of wood to smoke a pork butt.  I use about 3 oz of wood to do baby backs.  I put the amount of wood in at the very beginning and never...

Electric Smoker - Different meats challenge

A few times I have thought about throwing in some ribs with another piece of meat that takes considerably longer to smoke.  I am using an electric smoker which has been turning out great food using just one meat, but it appears that most of the smoke is early on in the cook.  How would you...

8lb turkey breast ready to go

Turned out pretty moist and flavorful. I had to rest it for 1 hour while the rest of the meal was completed. We have quite a bit left over too. I went from 300 down to 250 to prolong but it still finished in about 2.75 hours. Didn't get pictures of the final product. Sent from my iPhone...

8lb turkey breast ready to go

The turkey is cooking a little bit faster than I hoped. It is already at 112. The smoker climbed right to 300 quicker than I was thinking it would. I don't recall how I got Tapatalk to work. I also did a search and am now unable to find it. I only use it to post pictures. Most of other...
