I've finally got to smoking again, between too high of heat.& humidity days, and now between rains.
The last three smokes I've done has been a pleasure in spite of heat and humidity.
I quit worrying about side to side, or top to bottom, temps so much.
As long as chamber stays consistent...
I hear ya Smoking Pit. I too, love the insulating blanket I made for the CG. The only time I take it off is when I can't get temps down as low as I want. Usually due to my over exuberance and adding fuel too quick, or too much, to firebox.
