    Yeah the nylon gears were a concern but that's ok. Marking the threads is a good idea I'll make sure to do that. I haven't used it yet. Trying to decide what I want to make first.

    I'm pretty excited to use it. I've been using a jerky gun to stuff snack sticks and it takes a whole afternoon! This should do it in 1/4 the time.

    sounds likes solid plan. I'll follow the build. I've wanted to do a fridge build for awhile but the wife also says I have to many smokers!! I am one less though cause I give my gasser to a friend to make room in the garage.

    I always cook my chuck roasts for 3 hours in the smoker with a rub on it and finish it covered in the oven at 325 with a can of beef broth and a pack of beefy onion soup.than just check every half hour or so for tenderness. they always come out excellent

    I was disappointed for awhile because beef has gotten so expensive and I haven't been able to make jerky without spending a ton of money. I think I only have $20 bucks in this and pork is always on sale so I will be doing this a lot more!
