Hello Walt. If you go to the mich group page at the top is a box to join group. You can get there by Clicking on Forums at the top of page then go to community then smf groups then find the Michigan group. Hope that helps.

That's a good article Dirtsailor. I have a question though. When I make ground beef jerky I use cure in it so do I still need to post-cook it? I did not see any thing about using cure.

Hey everyone sorry I have been away. I am back now and will try to make it to the 4th annual party on the 12th. I sure had fun at the other partys at Scotts ranch. I don't think I will be participating
in the contest this year. It will be nice to catch up with everyone at the ranch and eat...
Each pan had 3 cans of beans one can crushed pineapple one pound bacon. 1/2 sweet onion 1 bell pepper 1 TB garlic sweated in bacon grease. 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 cup BBQ sauce. One pan had 10 red serrano peppers in it too. Smoked for three hours, IT about 175*
The party was a huge success. I believe we had 20 fatties entered.
