Welcome to the forum! Ain't nothing wrong with pellet grills and store-bought meat. Use what you got and you can improve what you're working with over time.
The closest thing to bread that I've made is pizza but I don't see why you couldn't make a loaf or two especially in a pellet smoker.
I have not crunched the numbers yet but I can tell you my questions via email was way down this year, that saved me SO much time. I think the TG Central area helped a lot of people find the answers to most of their common TG questions.
There were ~1000 visitors on the site at all times from day...
I have not tried the briquettes on top of the woodchucks yet but I will definitely give that a try soon.
I’m cooking a turkey today for a late Thanksgiving weekend and with the smoker set at 250° and only leaving the damper open for about 3 to 4 minutes, I have been able to get around 50...
I'm still playing with that one..
Almost every other review I see makes it seem as if you fill up the wood box, open up the damper to let the fire hit the wood for about 10 minutes and you have constant smoke for 90+ minutes but I'm definitely not seeing that in my own experiments.
I am...
I use a smoke tube in the recteq all the time… I have the 700 and I put it all the way to the left and open the little probe cover.
That 1 inch hole provides plenty of air to keep the pellet tube smoking for hours.
The one in the video turned out with a really nice bite-thru but not crispy. I kept it between 225°F (107°C) and 240°F (116°C) for the entire time.
As you could see in the. video, the skin was about as good as can be expected from a smoker but some turkey has a thicker skin, and won't be very...
Think you can't make a ready-to-eat spiral sliced ham from the store a WHOLE heckuva lot better? Think again!
By the way, I'm from deep in the holler, NC and we say "speeral" LOL🤣
I love Korean food.. best I ever had was in a little side street place in Chicago. It was -14°F and we walk down to this place and the line is out the door and down the street. The place was so packed they had to hand us our order over the top of peoples' heads.
Korean pancakes.. so good! One...
I believe this has something to do with cookies but I'm not sure how to make it work properly on all devices. I have not contacted the software developers about this as of yet, perhaps I can do that after the holiday chaos and see if we can nail down the reason behind the issues.
On my Mac, the...
Sorry, I missed this post in the chaos this week! We aren't manning the store in Bixby right now. We opened back up a few months back and just not enough traffic to justify it. Mostly online.
Message me privately if you still need this and I can give you another option.
I don't have an apple cider sage recipe.. however, I can tell you that there is absolutely nothing to worry about when brining a pre-injected bird.
I have been brining pre-injected birds for over a decade now.
What they do at the factory does not result in a salty bird.. not even close. Use a...
This may be something that got changed by the software company.. it now shows read and unread. Once you read something, it stays in the box for 72 hours.
I just changed this number (72 hours) to 1 hour in the settings.
Theoretically, once you read something, it should now keep the read alerts...
90 minutes of smoke is better than none.. you should get some pretty good flavor during that time. Also depends on what kind of smoker you are using. In a pellet smoker, the smoke production is VERY clean and that means less flavor due to less particles in the smoke that settle on your food.
If...
