A propane torch for me works great. I look at the clock when I start and spend a full 15 minutes before I put it in the smoker. I also always microwave the pellets or dust for a minute. Keep an eye on them as I have had dry ones start to smoke and almost catch fire in the microwave.

I light one end and apply smoke the whole time. So now you have 3 different answers and none are wrong. It is all a matter of taste. Start with a little and see if you need to go longer next time. Remember to keep notes so you know how to repeat it.

Yes the 68 is here to stay as well.
The 68 will take the 02 in the quarter but I think top end the 02 would walk away.
