If you can boil water you got it!
Pecorino Romano freshly grated (about 1/2 cup)
Coarse ground pepper ( to taste)
Pasta (about 1/4 lb)
Pasta water
This is about one serving depending on what your having with it.
Toast pepper corns in a skillet then coarse grind if you want the full flavor...
Well the boys went to their moms for Valentine's day so I decided I would enjoy a meal all to myself.. No salads or green veggies tonight...just protein....more protein....and some carbs to top it off!! I only took a plated shot. I put my phone down and just enjoyed cooking a meal for myself...
I baught a Barton 1.5hp #22 as an up grade from a small one...ive run several hundreds pounds of meat throug it with no issues. Had it a couple years now.. It's priced somwhere in the middle of what your looking at but with much mor bang for your buck... Its also more compact then the big bite...
Loaded baked potatoes are a super hearty meal! Yours look fantastic Robert !! This just screams "snow day meal" to me!
In the small town I work in some folks opened up a baked potato truck. They have it all!! From chilli cheese, buffalo chicken to lobster bisque baked potatoes... They sell out...
Malcom Reed has a fantastic grilled corn salad. I've used it several times! This stuff is money!
Only thing I do different is I char all the veggies not just the corn....and I'll use pablano and jalapeno.

Welcome from ohio!
Ive had my drum that I built for 9 years now. Still solid as can be.
My advice would be keep it as a smoker only.. Dont over complicate the build. Mine has (3) 3/4" intakes with ball valves to regulate temps and one 2 3/4" exhaust. A round charcoal basket that will hold 20 lb...
I agree with finger food/appitizer type foods.
Some other things that go over well are wings or chilli.. You could also set up a taco bar.. Smoke a couple different meats and then a mix of toppings for them. Could also include chips so people could make some loaded nachos instead if tacos.
Yep... I really need to get on the flat top train... All that looks fantastic!.. Those cheeseteaks have me drooling!... Your getting some good meals out of it so far!!
I have a local store that sells low grade stuff but extremely cheap.. Ive been buying some.. Sometimes just to grind for burger because its cheaper than buying ground meat... Usually stips and ribeyes . I started to SV them.. Started at 2hr mark.. Made a big difference.. Last ones I did for...
Thats a good looking plate Jeff ! How did they compare to the last time you cooked them? More tender?. Ive done a few lower grade ribeyes in the SV and it seemed to make a pretty noticeable difference..
Well said Justin ... Many great people here.. I wasn't around much there for a while dealing with life stuff.. But it's been like I never left..best BBQ community in the world.
