I saw your post. That's what made me say "Honey, you need to make a Strawberry pie". There are lots of fresh strawberries around here right now.
Thanks for your inspiration.
Lots of fresh strawberries around here right now. My wife likes to bake. She makes her own crust. Cuts up her strawberries and uses raspberry filling. She claims that is the secret. I agree. She makes good pies. Here's a pic. Those are strawberry pretzels on top.
Been marinating all day. Pineapple is from our garden. Marinade is Mirin, Apricot preserves, Lite Soy, Pineapple, Honey Habanero and Crystal. Lots of veggies. Apricot is a perfect foil for pineapple.
When you go to Costco pick up the bag and sniff the one way valve. You'll know instantly if it carmelized or stale. When you get it home freeze the bag, grind it frozen and put the bag in the freezer immediately. Don't let it thaw. Freezing slows down the oxidation and the bag will keep.

Egg coffee is always good. When I make it I do it Cowboy style and throw a little cold water in to settle the grounds. I only use the egg white in my version.
I still have my blend book.
