15 year old Generac not running...replace?

Thanks, feels right. I went with the shop that sells more Generac gens than anyone in the US. I got 2 quote and they are very close. the local shop has been a massive PITA and I cant give them another dime. Took them 3 business days to work up a quote. gave me a verbal number that was...

15 year old Generac not running...replace?

I dont want to have a portable on an auto switch. I signed a contract today for a replacement Generac that runs on NG. It 14kw and that will power nearly all of the house and water heater.

the are ductless AC/heat pumps. Used to mostly see them in the Caribbean, but they are getting more popular all over. I hear they are very efficient.

Tri Tip- didn't go as planned! quite...

My thoughts are similar as others. Too long at too low of a temp. Not sure what the IT got to, but im guessing too low. I would think about a reverse sear next time. Smoke at @200 till IT is about 130ish depending on how you like it, then sear it hard and fast. TT with a lick of smoke and...

I could get used to it. I used to go way more rare, but 140 was nice. PR would need to be cooler for sure...but I dont make those.

Made a steak my wife would eat!

Last one I did at 138 and I was told "this is borderline too rare" which means not good enough. Try 140. I was nervous it would be too done but it was good for us both. Truly win-win!

Made a steak my wife would eat!

Guys that have been around probably recall me mentioning my wife wont eat steak if there is any juice (blood). Literally she will take the plate to the kitchen and leave it. Its a disorder IMO. But it is what it is. I SV a flank steak yesterday for 5.5 hours at 140. Turned out very good...

What in the Sweet Baby Jesus is going on? Meat prices.

I know Hawaii is expensive due to location, but $28/lb is obscene! Tri tip steaks sound delish! the disparity doesnt make sense.

    The great burger toppings debate

If the restaurant puts stuff on the bottom, i dont mind. Normally I put sauce on the bottom and pill the rest on top.

What do you put on your basic hotdog mustard or ketchup?

Mustard and sweet relish. Chopped onions sometimes. Never ketchup. One our kids likes dill relish - I thought it was awful. Threw it out.
