Glad you got the ball rolling Danny. I can't do the 11th July one but could manage any of the next 3 weekends, we're normally at a music festival for the August date but haven't bought the tickets yet. It's always gonna be difficult fitting everyone in but I hope we can pull it off. Campsite...
Reminds me of the time my wife was offered a sandwich containing tongue, " I'm not eating anything that's been in an animal's mouth " she said, " I'll have a boiled egg instead !"
Quite a few ammo boxes on ebay, cheapest was a tenner when I looked. Our local scrapyard always has loads, but then again you can see the MoD ammunition depot from their yard.
Will give that recipe a try as I'm a fan of spring greens and kale. Tried another local restaurant at the weekend that had pulled pork and smoked brisket, just as I'd expected, the brisket was oven cooked with a smokey sauce slathered on, very mediocre. On a lighter note, I had some deep fried...
How Do Russ. Seem to be getting quite a few Q'rs down your part of the country, have you checked out the UK section ?
If the I phone apps don't work out, I'm sure there could be a market for a snorkel system to bolt onto barbies down your way if this flooding continues !

Hello the noo Ewan ! Wickes do an aluminium flexible tube for ducting tumble driers and cooker hoods, I think it's around 4"/100mm diameter. Although I haven't used it on a smoker I have used it where a bit of heat was involved and it stood up well.

Just watched it on Sky+. He was smoking stuff on a Weber Smokey Joe Premium using herbs and wet grass for the smoke source ?then used a large upturned flower pot as a cover, why didn't he just put the weber lid on !!! He then smoked some meat, fish, nuts and cheese in a wine barrel smoker but...
Hi Steve, I got pressganged into the hog roast thing a couple of years back after bragging about my cookery "O" level in the pub and most of the regulars have been to mine for pizza out of our cobb oven. We hire in the hog roaster but I've been threatening to build one since the last time we...
Count me in Danny, only time I can't make it is the weekend of July 12th as I'll be doing the hog roast at our local pub The Spinners Arms, in aid of Cancer Research.

Hey Smithmal, I'd say an air powered stuffer would be the best way to pebbledash your kitchen. If you want to be away from the sink, rig up a water pump with it's own resevoir tank like a bucket and stirrup pump.
Got to agree with your sauce/gravy theory Wade, let the taste of the meat come through I say. We have about 4 or 5 local restaurants that have suddenly started doing pulled pork and brisket. Obviously slow cooked in the oven to get the texture, then smothered in a "generic" bbq sauce which kills...
Hey Dave that exposed large pulley looks like it could drag you in and grind you up nicely too ! A cheap option for the large pulley would be one off the drum on a broken down front loading washing machine, not too sure how popular that type are stateside but they are the norm over here. They're...
Thrifty, just checked out Amazon UK and they have a 2" dial type candy thermo with a probe that could be cobbled up to fit through a bung/grommet and it's only £2.99, goes from 100* to 400*F saves faffing on with electrics ?

Hey Thrifty, I think you're on my wavelength, I have an aversion to spending too ( brought up in Scotland ) If you want a slow speed motor, windscreen wiper motors run slowish and have quite good torque and are designed to run for longer periods than window winder motors. I'm off to the scrappy...
