    Smoked Chex Mix

We made a bunch, I think it was roughly 11 or 12 cups, far more than I wanted to make but you have to buy so many boxed ingredient components, I figured why not. Storing the bulk in ball jars hit a food safe dessicant and sealing with a vac sealer, figure it'll keep a while! I am pleased to say...

    Smoked Chex Mix

Our overall takeaway was that it was delicious although a wee bit smoke heavy. The pretzels really sucked up the smoke.

    Yesterdays Eggs

My wife just started ordering food and scratch from Chewy, so far it's been quite affordable and great quality.

    Smoked Chex Mix

Just smoked a batch of Chex Mix for Sunday's Festivities. I don't remotely care about football but it's a good excuse to eat a variety of apps all day. Jerky on the cold smoker as we speak. Wings hitting the Weber w/ Spider Venom temp controller tomorrow, along with bacon wrapped kielbasa.

    Yesterdays Eggs

Nice! We have 9 girls and they over provide for us. In fact, just took roughly 50 eggs out of the freeze dryer yesterday. Powdered, scrambled, raw eggs freeze dried are (to me and wife at least) damn near indistinguishable from fresh when cooked like a scrambled egg. The prices are nuts!

    Easy Sourdough Discard Loafs

Oddly coincidental, my wife made 2 very similar, very delicious discard loaves this morning! I love having a starter around. Crumpets alone make a starter worthwhile.

waking up the kitchenaid mixer thread

Damn, that's not a good sign, and/or what I heard may be baseless. No implications as to where yours was purchased by the way!

waking up the kitchenaid mixer thread

Apparently the quality of some of the new ones is closely related to the store that sold it, or so I've heard. If purchased from Wal-Mart, it might have plastic gears whereas a model purchased from Sur la Table would have all metal. If true, it's horrifically damaging to the brand.

    Ink Bird Product promo?

Likewise, it's fully legit and I like their products in general.

What was the last concert that you went to?

His Pink Floyd renditions are surreal. Talented guy for sure. I for one would be a bit intimidated by a 7 foot tall (legit) clown. Great vocal range.

    Buckboard Bacon......

Fine looking! Beautiful color! I love buckboard bacon!

    Favorite “Tools of the Trade”

Long, stainless cooking tweezers. Great in the kitchen as well as manipulating small items on the grill.

What was the last concert that you went to?

That's exciting, mighty interesting band. Different, but are you familiar with Puddles Pity Party?

How you know when you're officially OLD.

That's awesome! I bought mine specifically to search for civil war artifacts but no such luck as of yet. Thanks for the info!

What was the last concert that you went to?

It was unbelievable! A bucket list concert for me! Got a signed, limited edition poster I need to frame!

How you know when you're officially OLD.

Any extraordinary metal detecting finds over the years? I like to poke around in our woods but short of old pieces of farm implements, nothing of interest. I have a Bounty Hunter detector, may I ask what you use?
