    Air Fryer Potato Chips

Yesterday I made some potato chips in the air fryer which was easy. The problem was that some of them ended up still a bit floppy after. Some didn't crisp up and I think the reason was that I put multiple layers on the tray. Next time I will do single layers and I want to do it in the deep fryer...

    Rookie Brisket post

Cut it in half. I get around 16 pound ones and cut them in half. I prep both and either cook them together or put one in the freezer.

what kind of smoker for the newbe ?

I would say electric is the best for newbies. I started on an electric and I still use it even though I have an offset now. I use both.

Price Comparison - Costco, Wild Fork, and Restaurant Depot

I just go to Costco. I don't have access to RD. Wild Fork also seemed a bit expensive to me. We used to do butcherbox but they raised their prices.

To each their own. I absolutely love brisket but I don't do it as often because of the time it takes.

does it make sense to grind our own hamburger ?

The prices can change so it depends. The other day ground beef was cheaper than a chuck roast so we just bought it ground already. But we do grind it ourselves sometimes. Just depends on if ground beef is cheaper or chuck roast.

    Bulk wood

Yeah. I will look there. I just don't think they will have post oak.

Is Your Costco Membership Worth It

Definitely worth it! We spend a ton of money there but we save money buying brisket there. I would go for the brisket alone. lol

    Bulk wood

Thanks. Yeah there is a Bass Pro Shops in Manteca. I will check out Western too.

    Bulk wood

I was wondering if anybody knew where I could get 20 or 40 pound bags of wood chunks. I looked on Amazon and they only have tiny amounts of post oak chunks. Online or in the bay area of california would be best. it would most likely be online because the bay area sucks.

    Let's Talk Healthy BBQ

It's mainly moderation. You should still enjoy what tastes good. Life is too short not to have a good time so enjoy it while you can. Just eat less processed stuff and you should be fine. Also go for walks and stuff. Keep active. I'm not going to stop eating delicious food. Screw that.
