CliffCarter has the right idea, as you put on a log, put the next log in the firebox on the other side to preheat. It will fire up ]right away. If you're seeing white smoke, you need to let the wood catch on fire. You want translucent smoke, or your meat can be bitter[/GALLERY]- Pat McInerney
