If you want something heavier on the islay you should try Ardbeg 10. It kicks it a couple notches above the Laproigh in terms of smoke, and it's around the same price point.
And whiskey is just whiskey friends, just like anything else it's made to be consumed, regardless of cost or rariety...
New smoker here, just started a couple months ago. But I've been drinking whiskey for awhile now, and I'm curious about reducing various whiskeys and making sauce.
I'm big on scotch, and wouldn't mind trying a heavy islay to boost that smokey flavor up a notch, anyone here got any tips?
