I did not have to seal them. They mate exactly. There is no leakage :cool:
I use small pieces of duct tape to keep them from moving however. 2 pieces of duct tape 3 or 4 inches long are good.

ECB stands for El Cheapo Brinkmann
That is a basic charcoal smoker a bunch of people had. Beginner model kind of. They are hard to use and people end up modifying them.
They were mostly called Brinkmann Smoke n Grill.
Nice job Rings, I think your getting your monies worth out of that smoker. The ECB must be getting jealous at this point.

How should the meatloaf be cooked on the top rack of the ECB? (El Cheapo Brinkmann) I'm going to use some bacon with toothpicks on most of the meatloaf. I'm wondering if an aluminum pan with a few drain holes in it can be put on top rack and then put a drip pan underneath on lower rack to catch...
Been using the heck out of my smoker, I am a Jerky fanatic, This will for sure be my next smoker adventure and will be sure to post pictures. Might try your receipt or use the one I have been using for years minus the liquid smoke seeing as I use to do it in my over for 12 hours.

...2 inch legs. An aluminum pan under the charcoal basket. Instead of a water pan above the charcoal basket I would use a heavy gauge deflector plate 15" diameter with a dozen or so holes drilled in it. The racks are 15" so ECB racks may fit. You can buy pizza screens or grates on the internet. :)
