You're spot on. Tried a smoke tube yesterday and was pleasantly surprised by the increased smoke level without monkeying with settings. P settings was a mental exercise when the dust settled. Buddy could have done the same, but now he will invite himself over when I fire up the smoker.
I think this older model lowest setting is 200, and think increasing time between dumps to allow pellets to smolder longer might give a better chance at increasing smoke level. That's why this P setting sounds interesting. It said stay away from P6 and P7 due to fire dying. So all that would be...

Being a medical folk I know all about sodium. It's not as much the amount we shake on at the table, it's the hidden that gits ya. So when I want salt I add at the table.
