Making a wind breaker box for a masterbuilt 40

That's about what I'm thinking of doing. I'll proly add a top on mine just because I'm a all weather griller and now smoker so I'm thinking that will help when it comes time for snow.

Making a wind breaker box for a masterbuilt 40

Sure if you post a picture it would be helpful. As I keep reading more I see more I can add to my rough idea of what I want. Seems to start simple but I doubt it will end that way.

    New Smoker in Iowa

Making a wind breaker box for a masterbuilt 40

I live in Iowa on a farm and it tends to get windy especially in the winter and I am thinking about making a wooden cover for my Masterbuilt Sportsman Elite 40. My thoughts are just a simple "box" to go over it minus the front and bottom so the door can open and it can be slid on from behind...

Mod for Masterbuilt Pro with smoke/heat ratio adjustment

I have this smoker also and have been looking at different mods to use for the chip pan. I haven't had too much trouble with it as is. I read a different post where they use a old gas stove top grate and a cast iron pan on top of that so basically how you have it. I haven't tried it yet though...

    New Smoker in Iowa

Im from Ely, Iowa and got a smoker a little bit before Christmas this year. I have used it a couple times already with some Chickens, pork loins and ribs. Have been on this site a lot reading through the different posts learning a lot of new things.
