Once again, thanks all. Today after my chicken was done I threw in 2 chunks of silver maple, smelled bad, won't use that for smoking.- yak55

Thanks all. Still have to ask, bark or no bark. Also, the term "Maple" to me is so broad with over 100 types in the US alone.- yak55

First let me say I am a woodturner/woodworker, I have access to boat loads of scrap. Fresh cut to air/kiln dried. Bark on or off??
